~ God Spoke to His Son While He Was On Earth ~
Series Introduction ~ The one true God is a relational God who desires interaction with His created humans. But it is up to each person to choose to listen carefully to the God of this universe. In this series we look at various ways God communicates to us if we are willing to listen. Keep in mind throughout this series that the most basic and important way to hear from God is read The Holy Bible with an open mind.
Scripture ~ “Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, ‘Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah’— because he did not know what to say, for they were greatly afraid.’ And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” (Mark 9: 5-7)
Comment ~ Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you have something important to say, but no one would listen? As Believers, we have all felt the urge and responsibility to share the Good News of the Gospel, but sometimes it seems like no one wants to hear it.
Jesus’ message was not popular at the time because it addressed people’s sin and called them to change. It is the same today. The risk of offending people never stopped Jesus from speaking up. Jesus knew that no matter how hard the truth is to hear, avoiding the truth does not change its truth.
