Spirit of God Does… 7

~ He Teaches Us to Pray ~

Series Note ~ The Spirit of God is the important third person of the Triune God. His ministry is almost entirely in support of the Christian and their individual spiritual growth.

For this reason, it is important for each Christian to understand the Holy Spirit and the various ways in which He works tirelessly providing constantly available help for each and every Christian.

While the Spirit of God is an equally important part of the God-head He works in the background and has a role of enhancing the glory of Jesus Christ and God the Father.

Scripture ~ “The Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. ²⁷ Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. (Romans 8:26-27).

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

And on some have compassion, making a distinction; ²³ but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh” (Jude 1:20-23).
