~ Fellowship ~
Introduction To The Series ~ This series is all about memory devices (heavily oriented toward acrostics) which help in remembering word meanings or concepts. Most of these are not my originals and where the originator is known they are named. For the most part they are sequenced alphabetically.

A Lubricant for Life's Tight Spots
Foundation. The basis of all Christian fellowship is Christ. It is only because of the common bond you share in Christ that you have Christian fellowship one with another and with God.
For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:11
Encouragement. God created man as a social being, requiring support and encouragement. As you exhort one another, you have fellowship around the Word of God and Jesus Christ.
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
Love one another, and the world will take note of your actions. And as you demonstrate your love, you experience true fellowship, and joy results as a certain by-product.
“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35
Light is the basis of all life. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). The more you share and live the truth—light that God has shown you—the more you experience true life and fellowship.
God is light … But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another. 1 John 1:5, 7
Obedience. It is not enough to share the light that you have been given, you must put into personal practice that which you have learned. This is the path to true happiness and fellowship with God and His children.
If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. John 13:17
Worship God the creator, not only individually, but also together with those of like mind. Praise and worship are the outgrowth of the realization of who God is and who you are because of Christ Jesus.
Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread Acts 20:7
Stablizing. As you fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ, you establish and strengthen a strong spiritual life; this is always important and will prove especially so during life's trying times.
And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another … so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13
Happiness is a sure result of fellowship with those who share your faith. You possess a bond which unites spirit and soul in a supernatural way, which cannot be understood – it can only be experienced.
And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:52
Intercession is an obligation. Fellowship is not just taking in but also giving out. One way to give of yourself is by intercession in prayer for others.
I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men 1 Timothy 2:1
Participation in the functions of your local church and with those who share your faith is required to experience joyous fellowship one with another. Fellowship is impossible without personal interaction.
And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” … Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.” 1 Corinthians 12:21, 27
Fellowship occurs in sharing with others who know and love your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Fellowship is also with each member of the Trinity. Christian fellowship will offset the stresses of daily living and give a perpetual song to your heart.

Note ~ The old preachers definition of fellowship was a bunch of men in a boat!
