~ 7 Activities Of Jesus Christ ~
Hearing Among The Teachers
~ “His
parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. And when He
was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the
feast. When they had finished the
days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph
and His mother did not know it; but supposing Him to have been in the
company, they went a day's journey, and sought Him among their relatives and
acquaintances. So when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem,
seeking Him. Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both
listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were
astonished at His understanding and answers. So when they saw Him, they were
amazed; and His mother said to Him, ‘Son, why have You done this to us? Look,
Your father and I have sought You anxiously’” (Luke 2:41-48).
Suffering
On The Cross ~ “And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the
Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, where they crucified Him, and two others with
Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center” (John 19:17-18).
Comforting The
Disciples ~ “Then, the same day at evening, being the
first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were
assembled, for fear of the Jews,
Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’ When He had said this, He showed them His hands
and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus
said to them again, ‘Peace to you! As the
Father has sent Me, I also send you.’
And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’ … And after eight days His disciples were again
inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in
the midst, and said, ‘Peace to you!’
Then He said to Thomas, ‘Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and
reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but
believing.’ And Thomas answered and said to Him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said
to him, ‘Thomas, because
you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and
yet have believed’” (John 20:19-22, 26-29).
Gathering In The
Assembly ~ “Again
I say to you that if two of you
agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by
My Father in heaven. For where two or
three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19-20).
Judging Among The Churches ~ “I [John] was in the Spirit on the Lord’s
Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and
the Last,” and, “What you see, write
in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to
Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea” (Revelation 1:10-11 and the following chapters 2-3).
Singing In Glory
~ “Then
He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it,
all of you. For this is My blood of the new
covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to
you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when
I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom.’ And when they had sung a hymn,
they went out to the Mount of Olives” (Matthew
26:27-30).
Reigning On The Throne
~ “Then
I saw a Lamb that looked as if it had been slaughtered, but it was now standing
between the throne and the four living beings and among the twenty-four elders.
He had seven horns and seven eyes, which represent the sevenfold Spirit of God that is sent out into every part of the earth. He stepped forward and took the scroll from the right hand
of the One sitting on the throne” (Revelation 5:6-7 NLT). “No longer
will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will
be there, and His servants will worship Him” (Revelation 22:3-4 NLT).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). This is the most important
question you will ever answer. If you do not answer it, or answer it
incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can make!
