Christ in 2 Peter

~ Jesus Christ Is The Supplier of All Our Needs ~

The Bible is about Jesus Christ  ~  “Jesus said to them, ‘How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!  Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter His glory?’  And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself” (Luke 24:25-27).

Jesus Christ in 2 Peter  ~  He is our Shepherd, our Savior, and the “Morning Star arising in our heart” (1:19).  He is also our Precious Promise—the Coming One, and our Deliverer.  Perhaps He currently provides all we need for spiritual life and Godliness.

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:2-4). 

Comment  ~  We have only touched the surface of Christ in 1 Peter.  The Apostle Paul told us the Scriptures present many shadows of things to come but the reality is found in Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:17).
