A Global View of Salvation ~
Salvation is not a Reward
for the Righteous.
It is an available Gift
for those who understand their Guilt!
Saved
Apart From Works
~ “For by grace you have been
saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should
boast [your good deeds have nothing to do
with salvation]. For we are His
workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works [the only good deeds God
sees come as a result of your salvation], which God prepared beforehand that we
should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:8-10).
Saved
To Serve ~ “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should
walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
“And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having
received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became examples to all in Macedonia
and Achaia who believe. For from you the
word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also
in every place. Your faith toward God
has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything. For they themselves declare concerning us
what manner of entry we had to you, and how
you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait
for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers
us from the wrath to come” (1 Thessalonians 1:6-10).
Salvation
Is Of God ~ “‘Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the
Gentiles, and they will hear it!’ And when he had said these words, the Jews
departed and had a great dispute among themselves” (Acts 28:28-29).
Salvation
Is In Christ
~ “Therefore I endure all things
for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory” (2 Timothy
2:10).
