Positives Gained Through Salvation ~
Salvation is not a Reward
for the Righteous.
It is an available Gift
for those who understand their Guilt!
There are a number of positives which accompany salvation. “We are
confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation”
(Hebrews 6:9a).
The
Knowledge of Salvation
~ “And you, child, will be called
the prophet of the Highest; for you will go before the face of the Lord to
prepare His ways, to give knowledge of
salvation to His people by the remission of their sins, through the tender
mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; to give
light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet
into the way of peace” (Luke 1:76-79).
The
Joy of Salvation
~ “Create in me a clean heart, O
God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do
not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore
to me the joy of Your salvation, and
uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then
I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted to You”
(Psalm 51:10-13).
The
Strength of Salvation
~ “The Lord is exalted, for He
dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of
your times, and the strength of salvation;
the fear of the Lord is His treasure” (Isaiah 33:5-6).
The
Wells of Salvation
~ “‘Behold, God is my salvation, I
will trust and not be afraid;
“For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has
become my salvation.”’ Therefore with
joy you will draw water from the wells of
salvation” (Isaiah 12:2-3).
The
Cup of Salvation
~ “What shall I render to the
Lord for all His benefits toward me? I
will take up the cup of salvation, and
call upon the name of the Lord. I will
pay my vows to the Lord now in the presence of all His people” Psalm
116:12-14).
The
Helmet of Salvation
~ “Stand therefore, having girded
your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and
having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all,
taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery
darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation [protect your
head and your thought-life], and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of
God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being
watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints”
(Ephesians 6:14-18).
