Jesus Christ Came To Preach The Kingdom Of God ~
Passage ~
“Now when it was day, He departed and went into a deserted place. And the crowd sought Him and came to Him, and
tried to keep Him from leaving them; but He said to them, ‘I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because
for this purpose I have been sent.’ And
He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee” (Luke 4:42-44).
Significance ~ Jesus
Christ came to save all people from all groups (ethnic, geographic, trades,
careers, race, skin-color, etc.).
Comment ~ We live in a day of great opportunity—but it will not last indefinitely. “For He says: ‘In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.’ Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:1). “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever” (Psalm 103:8-9).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?”
(Matthew 16:15). This is the most important
question you will ever answer. If you do
not answer it, or answer it incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake
anyone can make!
