Are You Laboring In The Best Work? ~
Walking With God (one path) ~ Example:
“Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked
with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. So all the days of Enoch were three hundred
and sixty-five years. And Enoch
walked with God” (Genesis 5:21-24a).
Working With God (one object) ~ Example:
“But the people said to Saul, ‘Shall Jonathan die, who has accomplished this
great deliverance in Israel? Certainly
not! As the Lord lives, not one hair of
his head shall fall to the ground, for he has worked with God this day.’
So the people rescued Jonathan, and he
did not die” (1 Samuel 14:45).
Always Praying (in the Spirit) ~ Jesus
said, “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with
carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you
unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare
on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that
you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:34-36).
“Therefore we also pray always for you that our God
would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of
His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our
God and the Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thessalonians 1:11-12).
Always Rejoicing (in the Lord) ~ “We
give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. But in all things we commend ourselves as
ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in
stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in
fastings; by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy
Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the
armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by honor and
dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as
unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and
yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making
many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things” (2 Corinthians
6:3-10).
Always Abounding (in the work) ~ “Therefore,
my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work
of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1
Corinthians 15:58).
