~ God Is Invisible ~
This
Series ~ This
series of posts looks at some of the many attributes of God. Generally, we move in alphabetical order.
Scripture ~ “But God said, ‘You cannot see My face; for no man shall
see Me, and live’” (Exodus 33:20).
“No one has seen God at
any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He
has declared Him” (John 1:18).
“And the Father Himself,
who sent Me, has testified of Me. You
have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form” (John
5:37-38).
“He [Jesus Christ while on
earth] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all
creation” (Colossians 1:15).
“Now to the King eternal,
immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen” (1 Timothy 1:17).
“Who alone has immortality,
dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be
honor and everlasting power. Amen” (1
Timothy 6:16).
“No one has seen God at
any time. If we love one another,
God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us” (1 John 4:12).
“If He goes by me, I do
not see Him; if He moves past, I do not perceive Him” (Job
9:11).
“Look, I go forward, but He
is not there, and backward, but I cannot perceive Him” (Job 23:8).
Quotes ~ “God
is like oxygen. You can’t see Him, but
you need Him to survive.”
“Just because you can’t see the air doesn’t mean you stop
breathing. And just because you can’t
see God doesn’t mean you stop believing.”
