~ Walk By Faith ~
Series
Introduction ~ The New Testament has much to say about how a
believer should live their life.
Christians should never have to guess about the life that pleases
God. In this series we look at a variety
of passages that speak about the Christian walk on earth.
Scripture ~ “So we are always
confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the
Lord. For we walk by faith, not by
sight. We are confident, yes, well
pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord” (2
Corinthians 5:6-8).
Additional Scripture ~ “Does this blessedness then come upon the
circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to
Abraham for righteousness. How then was
it accounted? While he was circumcised,
or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised,
but while uncircumcised. And he received
the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had
while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who
believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to
them also, and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the
circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our
father Abraham had while still uncircumcised” (Romans 4:9-12).
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord [by faith], so
walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith,
as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving” (Colossians 2:6-7).
Quote ~ “To walk with someone means you are aware of their
presence. And this is true with
God. If you’re to walk with Him, you
must be continually aware of His presence.” —Kay Smith {Pleasing God)
