~ A Person Of God Is Spiritually Mature ~
Series Note
~ There are many qualities which
God desires in His children. In this
series we will briefly cover a few of the major ones.
Scripture ~ “But solid food belongs to those who are of full [spiritual] age,
that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both
good and evil” (Hebrews 5:14).
“But concerning
Apollos our brother, I encouraged him greatly to come to you with the brethren;
and it was not at all his desire to come now, but he will come when he has
opportunity.
“Be on the
alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians
16:12-14 nasu).
“Not
that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I
may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended;
but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching
forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the
prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
“Therefore
let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you
think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have
already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind” (Philippians
3:12-16).
