~ Master ~
This
Series
~ This series of posts looks at some of the many attributes of God. Generally, we move in alphabetical order.
Introduction ~ There are
a variety of nuances in defining Master.
[1]
A common one is someone who has others working for him.
[2]
The word Master is also often used as an adjective referring to someone having
great skill and proficiency.
God
clearly fits both these concepts.
Scripture ~ [1] “We
are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared
beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
[2]
“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth,
visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or
powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all
things, and in Him all things consist." (Colossians 1:16-17).
Comment ~ Do you
know Him as your Master? If not, why not?
Jesus
has invited you, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and
I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle
and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke
is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).
