~ Jesus Died
For YOUR Sins ~
Introduction ~ The most
important fundamentals of Christianity include beliefs about the birth of
Jesus, His sinless life, His death, His burial, and His resurrection.
In
this series we look at ten facts about Jesus Christ.
Scripture
~
“But now the righteousness of God apart
from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the
righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who
believe. For there is no difference;
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:21-23).
“For
when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
For scarcely for a righteous man will
one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by
His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled
to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we
shall be saved by His life. And not only
that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we
have now received the reconciliation” (Romans 5:6-11).
Note:
Jesus died in your place to pay the penalty (death) of YOUR sins. But like any
other gift you must accept His great gift to you – or it is of no benefit to
you.
