~ The Perseverance of God
In You ~
The Christian life is a marathon—not
a sprint. Are you careful to “continue
on”?
Continuing In His Word
~ “Then
Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My
disciples indeed. And you shall know the
truth, and the truth shall make you free’” (John 8:31-32).
Continuing In Love
~ Jesus
said, “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you
keep My commandments, you will abide in
My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My
joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:9-12).
Continuing In The Son
~ “Therefore
let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in
you, you also will abide in the Son and
in the Father. And this
is the promise that He has promised us — eternal life” (1 John 2:24-25).
Continuing In The Father
~ “Therefore
let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in
you, you also will abide in the Son
and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us — eternal
life” (1 John 2:24-25).
Continuing In The Things You Have Heard
~ “But you must continue in the things which
you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned
them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are
able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ
Jesus. All Scripture is given by
inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be
complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:14-17).
