~ 7 Keys to a Constant Christian
Life ~
Live In Constant Joy ~ “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give
thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the
Spirit. Do not
despise prophecies. Test all things;
hold fast what is good. Abstain from
every form of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-22). One day there will be complete fulfillment, “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there
shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away”
(Revelation 21:4).
Live In Constant Prayer ~ “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians
5:17). “Then He [Jesus]
spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1-2).
Live In Constant Thanksgiving ~ “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in
Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Live In Constant Response to the
Holy Spirit ~ “Do not quench the Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 5:19 ).
Live In Constant Attention to Testimony
[Lifestyle] ~ “Do not put out the Spirit’s fire” (1 Thessalonians 5:19, NIV). “Do not quench (suppress or
subdue) the [Holy] Spirit; Do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the
prophets [do not depreciate prophetic revelations nor despise inspired instruction
or exhortation or warning]” (1 Thessalonians 5:19-20, Amplified
Version). “Don't suppress the Spirit, and don’t stifle
those who have a word from the Master” (1 Thessalonians 5:19-20, The Message).
Live In Constant Search for Good ~ “Test all things; hold fast what is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-21). “Whatever is true, whatever is
noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is
admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things”
(Philippians 4:8).
Live In Constant Purity ~ “Abstain from every form of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:22). Jesus said, “Blessed are
the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8).
