~ All Aspects of Christian Life Are
“To The Lord” ~
Turned To The Lord (conversion) ~ “Now it came to pass, as Peter went through all parts of
the country, that he also came down to the saints who dwelt in Lydda. There he found a certain man named Aeneas,
who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed. And Peter said to him, ‘Aeneas, Jesus the
Christ heals you. Arise and make your
bed.’ Then he arose immediately. So all
who dwelt at Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord” (Acts
9:32-35).
Added To The Lord (fellowship
and service) ~ “And through the
hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's
Porch. Yet none of the rest dared join
them, but the people esteemed them highly.
And believers were increasingly
added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought
the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least
the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the
surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were
tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed” (Acts
5:12-16).
Faithful To The Lord (discipleship) ~ “The Lord opened her [Lydia] heart to heed the things
spoken by Paul. And when she and her
household were baptized, she begged us, saying, ‘If you
have judged me to be faithful to the Lord,
come to my house and stay.’ So she persuaded
us” (Acts 16:14-15).
Living To The Lord (devotion) ~ “For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to
himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we
die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we
live or die, we are the Lord’s” (Romans 14:7-8).
Singing To The Lord (praise
and worship) ~ “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on
tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one
another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another;
even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which
is the bond of perfection. And let the
peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body;
and be thankful. Let the word of Christ
dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in
psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (Colossians
3:12-17).
Doing Everything Wholeheartedly To The
Lord (service)
~ “Whatever
you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord
and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the
inheritance; for you serve the Lord
Christ” (Colossians 3:23-24).
