~ Life From Jesus Christ ~
The Life Imparted
~ “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and
to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and
that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:9-10).
“And truly
Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not
written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is
the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing
you may have life in His name” (John 20:30-31).
“For the
wages of sin is death, but the gift of
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
The Life Possessed
~ “He who believes in the Son has
everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life,
but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36).
“And this is
the testimony: that God has given us
eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
He who has the Son has life;
he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who
believe in the name of the Son of God, that you
may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe
in the name of the Son of God” (1 John 5:11-13).
The Life Exhibited
~ “But we have this treasure in
earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of
us. We are hard-pressed on every side,
yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not
forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—always carrying about in the body the
dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of
Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be
manifested in our mortal flesh” (2 Corinthians 4:7-11).
“For I
through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no
longer I who live, but Christ lives in
me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through
the law, then Christ died in vain” (Galatians 2:19-21).
The Life in Fruition
~ “Paul, a bondservant of God and
an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the
acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal
life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began, but has in due time manifested His word through
preaching, which was committed to me according to the commandment of God our
Savior” (Titus 1:1-3).
“But you,
beloved, building yourselves up on your
most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God,
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus
Christ unto eternal life” (Jude 20-21).
“But now
having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the
end, everlasting life” (Romans 6:22).
