God’s A-B-C-D Plan of Salvation ~
Salvation is not a Reward
for the Righteous.
It is an available Gift
for those who understand their Guilt!
The Plan of Salvation is as simple as A-B-C-D!
Accept ~ “All have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “All we like sheep have gone astray; we
have turned, every one, to his own way” (Isaiah 53:6a).
Until a person accepts / acknowledges this
reality—not universally, but personally—then there can be no eternal
salvation!
Believe ~ “Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is
born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is
begotten of Him” (1 John 5:1).
“But what does it say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in
your heart’ (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess
with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe
in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with
the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation” (Romans 10:8-10).
Confess ~ “But
what does it say? ‘The word is near you,
in your mouth and in your heart’ (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that
if you confess with your mouth the Lord
Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you
will be saved. For with the heart one
believes unto righteousness, and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:8-10).
“And we have seen and testify that the Father
has sent the Son as Savior of the world.
Whoever confesses that Jesus is
the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that
God has for us. God is love, and he who
abides in love abides in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:14-16).
Discipleship ~ “Then
Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow
Me. For whoever desires to save his
life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains
the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his
soul? For the Son of Man will come in
the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according
to his works” (Matthew 16:24-27).
“By this
we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His
commandments. For this is the love
of God, that we keep His commandments. And His
commandments are not burdensome. For
whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the
world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes
the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:2-5).
