Fellowship
in The Church
~ “Now
I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all
speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be
perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment” (1
Corinthians 1:10). “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and
fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42).
Fellowship
in Service ~ “For we are God's
fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building” (1
Corinthians 3:9). “Tychicus, a beloved brother, faithful minister, and fellow servant
in the Lord, will tell you all the news about me. I am sending him to you for this very
purpose, that he may know your circumstances and comfort your hearts, with
Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will make known to you all things which
are happening here” (Colossians 4:7-9).
Fellowship
in The Gospel
~ “I
thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine
making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the
first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun
a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; just as it
is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart,
inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel,
you all are partakers with me of grace.
For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection
of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:3-8). “And with many other words
he testified and exhorted them, saying, ‘Be saved from this perverse generation.’ Then those who gladly received his word were
baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them” (Acts
2:40-41).
Fellowship
in Suffering
~ “But
what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for
the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have
suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain
Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the
law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from
God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the
fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I
may attain to the resurrection from the dead” (Philippians
3:7-11).
