~ Dwells In Believers ~

 

This Series  ~  This series of posts looks at some of the many attributes of God.  Generally, we move in alphabetical order.

 

Introduction  ~  When a person becomes a Christian the Holy Spirit enters into their lives to guide, direct, and teach them the things of God.

 

Scripture  ~  When Jesus was preparing to ascent back into heaven He said: “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever — the Spirit of truth.  The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him.  But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you (John 14:16-17).

 

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16).

 

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8 NIV).

 

“That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us” (2 Timothy 1:14).

 

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11)
