How much do you know about Leap Year? Here are a few fun
facts:
One ~ The odds of having February 29 as your birthday
are only one in about 1,500.
Two ~ Those of you born on Leap Day are technically
called “Leaplings.’
Three ~ In the Hebrew language a Leap Year is known
as Shanah Me’uberet which means “pregnant year.”
Four ~ There are only a little more than 5 million
Leaplings in the world.
Five ~ Personalities born on February 29 include Tony
Robins (1960) and Dinah Shore (1916).
Six ~ An extra day is added to our calendars every
four years to adjust our time to the earth’s movement around the sun. The
actual time it takes for earth to circle our star is 365,2421 days (rounded
off). Over centuries this becomes significant.
