Jesus Christ Was The Image of God On Earth ~
Passages ~ “Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible
God, the firstborn over all creation.
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on
earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or
powers. All things were created through
Him and for Him. And He is before all
things, and in Him all things consist. And
He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn
from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence” (Colossians
1:15-18).
“God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time
past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His
Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the
worlds; who being the brightness of His
glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the
word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the
right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the
angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they” (Hebrews
1:1-4).
Significance ~ “I [Jesus
Christ] and My Father are one” (John 10:30).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?”
(Matthew 16:15). This is the most
important question you will ever answer. If you do not answer it, or answer it
incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can make!
