Spiritual War: Objective ~
Overall
Objective ~ The Word of God, prayer, and the Spirit of
God all work together with and in us.
Jesus gave us an example of how we should pray by beginning with the
overall objective of this war: “Thy will
be done on earth” (Matthew 6:10; Luke 11:2).
The Word of God, prayer, and the Spirit of God all work
together with and in us. Jesus gave us
an example of how we should pray by beginning with the overall objective of
this war: “Thy will be done on earth”
(Matthew 6:10; Luke 11:2).
Specific
Objective ~ “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the
Greeks or to the church of God, just as I also please all men in all things,
not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved” (1
Corinthians 10:31-33).
“All the promises of God in Him [Jesus Christ] are Yes, and
in Him Amen, to the glory of God through
us” (2 Corinthians 1:20).
Think
About This ~ While you cannot change God’s character—you
can damage His reputation.
The
Final Result
~ “Therefore God also has highly
exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and
that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians
2:9-11).
