~ Those Who Can Pray Acceptably ~
Those Who Are Sorrowful Sinners
~ Jesus said, “And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so
much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be
merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you,
this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone
who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted”
(Luke 18:13-14).
Those Who Seek to Live Righteous and
Upright Lives ~ “The eyes of the Lord
are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the
remembrance of them from the earth. The
righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to those
who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit” (Psalm
34:15-18).
Those Who Keep His Commandments
~ “Beloved,
if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him,
because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His
sight” (1 John 3:21-22).
Those Who Have Due Respect for God
~ “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
to all who call upon Him in truth. He
will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and
save them. The Lord preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will
destroy” (Psalm 145:18-20).
Those Who Are Abiding In Christ
~ Jesus said, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will
ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear
much fruit; so you will be My disciples” (John 15:7-8).
Those Who Seek Wisdom
~ “If
any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and
without reproach, and it will be given to him.
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a
wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind” (James
1:5-6).
