~ Where to Pray ~
Pray Alone In Private
~ Jesus said, “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the
synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their
reward. But you, when you pray, go into
your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the
secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly” (Matthew
6:5-6).
Pray Publically With Other Believers
~ “These
all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and
Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers” (Acts
1:14).
Pray On The Mountain
~ “Now
it came to pass in those days that He [Jesus] went out to the mountain to pray,
and continued all night in prayer to God [His Father]” (Luke
6:12).
Pray In The House of God
~ “Now
Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth
hour” (Acts 3:1).
Pray In Difficult Circumstances
~ “But
at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the
prisoners were listening to them” (Acts 16:25).
Pray at Home
~ “The
next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up
on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour” (Acts
10:9).
Pray With Others About Their Specific
Needs ~ See
Acts 10.
