~ Angels Have Intelligence ~
Prolog
~ Even though holy angels and
fallen angels/demons are spirit beings (Hebrews 1:14), they do have
personalities.
Angels Reason ~ “Oh,
that you would bear with me in a little folly—and indeed you do bear with
me. For I am jealous for you with godly
jealousy. For I have betrothed you to
one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness,
so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus
whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have
not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well
put up with it!” (2 Corinthians 11:1-4).
Angels Desire
~ “Of this salvation the prophets
have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would
come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who
was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of
Christ and the glories that would follow.
To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were
ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who
have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into
(1 Peter 1:10-12).
Angels Question
~ “When He had come to the other
side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly
fierce, so that no one could pass that way.
And suddenly they cried out, saying, ‘What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the
time’?” (Matthew 8:28-29).
Angels Decide
~ “Then they sailed to the
country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee. And when He stepped out on the land, there
met Him a certain man from the city who had demons for a long time. And he wore no clothes, nor did he live in a
house but in the tombs. When he saw
Jesus, he cried out, fell down before
Him, and with a loud voice said, ‘What
have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me!’ For He had commanded the unclean spirit to
come out of the man. For it had often
seized him, and he was kept under guard, bound with chains and shackles; and he
broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness. Jesus
asked him, saying, ‘What is your name?’
And he said, ‘Legion,’ because
many demons had entered him. And they
begged Him that He would not command them to go out into the abyss” (Luke
8:26-31).
Angels Trap
~ “And a servant of the Lord must
not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility
correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them
repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil,
having been taken captive by him to do his will” (2 Timothy 2:24-26).
Angels Choose
~ “And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own
abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of
the great day” (Jude 6).
