~ Angels Interact With God ~
Prolog ~
While holy angels and fallen angels/demons are spirit beings (Hebrews
1:14), they do have personalities.
Angels Appear With God
~ “Now there was a day when the
sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, ‘From where do
you come?’” (Job 1:6-7).
Angels Answer To God
~ “Again there was a day when the
sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also
among them to present himself before the Lord.
And the Lord said to Satan, ‘From where do you come?’ Satan
answered the Lord and said, ‘From going to and fro on the earth, and from
walking back and forth on it’” (Job 2:1-2).
Angels Communicate With God ~ “Now when He had taken the scroll, the
four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb,
each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of
the saints. And they sang a new song,
saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were
slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue
and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we
shall reign on the earth.’ Then I
looked, and I heard the voice of many
angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the
number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,
saying with a loud voice: ‘Worthy is
the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and
honor and glory and blessing!’ And every creature which is in heaven and on
the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in
them, I heard saying: ‘Blessing and
honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb,
forever and ever!’” (Revelation 5:8-13, also see: Isaiah 6:1-3; Job 2:1-2;
Revelation 8:1-6; 12:13-17).
Holy Angels Praise God
~ “Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! Praise
Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!” (Psalm 148:1-2). “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the
Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled
the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings:
with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he
flew. And one cried to another and said: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of His glory!’” (Isaiah 6:1-3). “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God
and saying: ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward
men!’” (Luke 2:13-14).
Holy Angels Worship God
~ “But when He again brings the
firstborn into the world, He says: ‘Let
all the angels of God worship Him’” (Hebrews 1:6). “Now when He had taken the scroll, the four
living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each
having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the
saints. And they sang a new song,
saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were
slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and
people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall
reign on the earth.’ Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the
throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was
ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: ‘Worthy is the
Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and
honor and glory and blessing!’ And every creature which is in heaven and on
the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in
them, I heard saying: ‘Blessing and honor
and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever
and ever!’” (Revelation 5:8-13).
