~ Gut It Out ~
People Think
~ The Christian life is one of
having to “grin and bear it.”
The Bible Says
~ When a person becomes a
Christian God gives them insights, assets, and strengths they previously didn’t
possess. “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our
Lord, as His divine power has given to us
all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him
who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly
great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that
is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:2-4).
Included
in the Christian’s possession are peace and a deep inner joy regardless of
outward circumstances. “You will keep
him in perfect peace, whose mind is
stayed on You, because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3).
“Be anxious for nothing,
but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your
requests be made known to God; and the
peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).
