~ Jesus Christ Is Immortal ~
Passages
~ “The King of kings and Lord of
lords, who alone has immortality,
dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be
honor and everlasting power. Amen” (1
Timothy 6:15b-16).
“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible,
to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen” (1 Timothy 1:17).
“Have you not
known? Have you not heard? The
everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither
faints nor is weary. His understanding
is unsearchable” (Isaiah 40:28).
“Then to Him
was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and
languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be
destroyed” (Daniel 7:14).
Significance
~ “But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience,
gentleness. Fight the good fight of
faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have
confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life
to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before
Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until
our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He
who is the blessed and only Potentate, the
King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in
unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and
everlasting power. Amen” (1 Timothy
6:11-16).
Comment ~ “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:2-4). “Exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,’ lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: ‘Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion’” (Hebrews 3:13-15).
additional remark: For a different look and fuller understanding
of the immortality of God see chapter 12, entitled “Without Time Constraints” in
the international award winning book GOD
LIGHT: Sunlight Sonlight (find details by clicking on the God Light tab above).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?”
(Matthew 16:15). This is the most
important question you will ever answer. If you do not answer it, or answer it
incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can make!
