~ Consider 5 Aspects ~
Accepted In The Beloved (our
place) ~ “Blessed be the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual
blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before
the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before
Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to
Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory
of His grace, by which He made us
accepted in the Beloved” (Ephesians 1:3-6).
Listening To The Beloved (our
attitude) ~ “The voice of my Beloved! Behold, He comes
leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills” (Song
of Solomon 2:8).
Leaning On The Beloved (our
dependence) ~ “Who is this coming
up from the wilderness, leaning upon her
Beloved?” (Song of Solomon 8:5).
Speaking Of The Beloved (our
testimony) ~ “My Beloved is white and ruddy, Chief
among ten thousand. His head is like the finest gold; His locks are wavy, and black as a raven. His eyes
are like doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set. His
cheeks are like a bed of spices, banks of scented herbs. His
lips are lilies, dripping liquid myrrh. His
hands are rods of gold set with beryl.
His body is carved ivory inlaid
with sapphires. His legs are pillars of marble set on bases of fine gold. His
countenance is like Lebanon, excellent as the cedars. His
mouth is most sweet, yes, He is
altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of
Jerusalem!” (Song of Solomon 5:10-16).
Waiting For The Beloved (our
future) ~ “Make haste, my Beloved,
and be like a
gazelle or a young stag on the mountains of spices” (Song of Solomon 8:14). “But you, beloved,
building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
keep yourselves in the love of God, looking
for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life” (Jude
20-21). “Therefore,
beloved, looking forward to these things,
be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless” (2
Peter 3:14). “Eagerly waiting for the revelation of our
Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be
blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 1:7b-8). “Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our
great God and Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus
2:13).
the key question:
“Who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). This is the most important
question you will ever answer. If you do not answer it, or answer it
incorrectly, you have made the biggest mistake anyone can make!
