Prolog ~ “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one
another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1
Peter 4:10).
In this post we look at: 3
IMPORTANT Ps OF SERVICE .
Pray
Unceasingly ~ “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians
5:17). “Stand therefore, having girded
your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and
having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all,
taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery
darts of the wicked one. And take the
helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all
perseverance and supplication for all the saints — and for me, that utterance
may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery
of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak
boldly, as I ought to speak” (Ephesians 6:14-20).
Praise
Continually ~ “Rejoice always” (1 Thessalonians 5:16). “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the
fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God
is well pleased” (Hebrews 13:15-16).
“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as
wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what
the will of the Lord is. And do not be
drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking
to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks
always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God” (Ephesians 5:15-21).
Preach
Unwearied ~ “I charge you therefore before God and the
Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and
His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all
longsuffering and teaching. For the time
will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own
desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves
teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside
to fables. But you be watchful in all things,
endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” (2 Timothy
4:1-5).
“The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the
law. But thanks be to God, who gives us
the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in
the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1
Corinthians 15:56-58).
