~ Jesus Christ is Coming
For His Own ~
Consider the coming of the Lord for
His believers…
The Lord’s Promise To
Return ~ Jesus
said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive
you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:3). Jesus also
said, “Behold,
I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who
keeps the words of the prophecy of this book …
And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to
everyone according to his work. I am the
Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” … “Surely
I am coming quickly." (Revelation 22:7, 12-13, 20b).
The Lord Will Return Personally
~ “Now
when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And
while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men
stood by them in white apparel, who also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you
stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you
into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven’” (Acts 1:9-11). “I, Jesus, have sent My
angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the
Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star” (Revelation 22:16).
The Lord Will Descend From Heaven
~ “For
this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain
until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet
of God. And the dead in Christ will
rise first. Then
we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds
to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these
words” (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18).
At The Lord’s Return The Dead In Christ
Will Rise ~ “For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who
are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede
those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet
of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the
air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18). “Now this I say,
brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does
corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a
mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed — in a moment, in
the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the
trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall
be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:50-52).
At The Lord’s Return The Living Will
Be Changed ~ “For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who
are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede
those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet
of God. And the dead in Christ will rise
first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be
caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And
thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18). “Now this I say,
brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does
corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a
mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we
shall all be changed — in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and
the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we
shall be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:50-52).
All The Lord’s People Will Be Caught
Up Together ~ “For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who
are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede
those who are asleep.
“Now, brethren,
concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him” (2 Thessalonians
2:1).
All The Lord’s People Will Be With
And Like Their Lord ~ “For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who
are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede
those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet
of God. And the dead in Christ will rise
first. Then
we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds
to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we
shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18). “Beloved,
now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be,
but we know that when He is revealed, we
shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies
himself, just as He is pure” (1 John 3:2-3).
